I'm a fairly new digital artist - even though I'm 49. I went back to school 3 years ago to study animation. I graduated a year ago, worked for 10 months at a cool Flash studio as an illustrator and then got laid off with 24 of my fellow artists. I'm 3 months into unemployment and in an effort to not go totally insane and cut off my ear, I began updating my stormvisions.com website.
Even though I don't work as a texture artist - I love creating realistic textures - not sure why, just the way my brain is wired.
I joined the forum mainly because I want to share stuff as I create it and this looks like a cool site.
Other than that, and probably more importantly, I am a happily married family guy. My wife has been putting up with me for 21 years and my son for only 9. For some strange reason they actually seem to like me.
